Borneo Pygmy Elephants, Sabah, Malaysian Borneo

The sub-species of asian elephant "Elephas maximus borneensis" is only found in Borneo. Largely concentrated in northeast of Sabah, particularly the floodplains and tributaries of Kinabatangan River, yet endangered and close to extinction.
